The seed of Avery Logistics was planted in 1961 when George Avery formed a company called Dahlonega Equipment and Supply. The company marketed and distributed boxes, cartoons, and protective packaging to the food processing industry and other users of packaging materials In 1989 the box company was sold to a large multi-national firm and the trucking fleet was spun off. The family created Dahlonega Transport, Inc. with Avery Trucking Co. as the property brokerage division.
For almost two decades Dahlonega Transport, Inc. served its customers nationwide transporting general commodities and building a reputation for service and reliability that is the envy of the industry. During that time Avery also served it’s customers arranging for the transportation of truckload traffic as a Third Party Logistics Service Provider. In 2006, Avery Trucking Co. Inc. began doing business as Avery Logistics and expanded its Logistics services in to the foodservice industry. Working closely with the two largest national providers of commercial foodservice distribution centers, we excelled in the industry.
